Press release date: October 24, 2006
Granges, Switzerland, October 24, 2006 - Sokymat, the worldıs leading supplier of RFID transponders, announces today that it will be a silver sponsor of RFIDtrack06, the annual international conference that examines the future of RFID technology.
This yearıs event, held on Wednesday, November 15, at Royal Spanish Mint ³Real Casa de la Moneda y Timbre,² in Madrid, will focus on the challenges faced by the industrial and logistics sectors, and question the ³What, Where, When and Why² of RFID, explore the advantages and disadvantages of the technology and consider the roles of suppliers and clients.
Sokymat has more than 15 years of experience in the RFID industry, not only specializing in the Industry & Logistics sector, but also in the Food & Animal, E-Document and the Access and Security sectors. The Swiss transponder manufacturer will be joined at RFIDtrack06 by fellow sponsors and business partners Athelia and Psion Teklogix.
Among its many products on display at RFIDtrack06, Sokymat highlights its EPC In Line Tag and the IN Tag family, a robust outdoor use 20, 30 or 50mm RFID disk transponder that adds further to its pallet and container tracking RFID tag portfolio. The IN Tag can endure severe environmental pressures thanks to its thermoplastic molded casing. It is available in 125kHz or 134.KHz, ISO 11784/85 or 18000-2 low frequency read only transponders, 256 or 2Kbit read/write transponders or 13.56 MHz high frequency ISO 15693 /18000-3 transponders and can withstand long immersions in water, most standard industrial chemicals and temperatures of up to 140°C.
The IN Tag was created to satisfy the specific market requests of the international food industry. The tag complies with the stipulations of the new EU directive 02/72/EC so that it can be used in direct contact with food and drink.
³The RFID industry needs to give markets what they need, not what it thinks they need. But even if we get this part right, itıs important to understand that the success of an RFID project isnıt proven after a day, a week or a month in the field. It is only if all the tags are working years after their deployment, still to the demands of the client, that an RFID project can be considered a success,² comments Manuel Villamayor, Sales Director, South Europe, Latin America & Middle East. ³The IN Tag is designed and manufactured to meet these stringent levels of quality, so that not only can we as a company can rest assured, but more importantly, our customers too can rest assured that they have the most suitable and reliable product designed exactly to their requirements.²
