Granges, Switzerland, February 17, 2006 - Sokymat SA, the world's leading supplier of RFID transponders, today welcomes Thomas Hitzer, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing, to the Executive Management.
The company, which reported substantial growth in revenues and profits in 2005, with outstanding performance in all four major market segments served, announces that Thomas Hitzer is now a member of Sokymat's Executive Management.
Thomas Hitzer, who has been Vice President of Sales & Marketing since April 2005, continues to be responsible for leading the group's sales and marketing team with the aim of consolidating the company's role as an innovative leader in the global RFID markets.
John Rogers, CEO of Sokymat and member of the Executive Board comments, "The continuous success and growth of the Sokymat Group has, from day one, been based on the technology leadership and pioneering role that the company has always regarded as its mission". Currently reporting to John Rogers, CEO of Sokymat, Thomas Hitzer joined Sokymat as Product Marketing Director in 1999, and during his nearly seven-year tenure he has filled the roles of Vice President Cards & Labels and Vice President Sales, responsible for the Americas, Asia, Italy and Spain. Prior to joining Sokymat, Thomas Hitzer worked in the RFID industry for 10 years with Temic/Atmel.
