Sodick, Inc. has announced their Grand Opening to be held at the company's new Technical and Training Center in Yorba Linda, California on June 16th, 2011. The Grand Opening will be held from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This event will give machine tool user's access to Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, Small Hole EDM and High Speed Mill product demonstrations by Sodick specialized engineers.
Sodick will feature their latest technology on display during the event. Sodick's Sinker EDM line features high speed and high acceleration linear motor drives which enable even and natural flushing that leads to perfect part accuracy. Sodick Wire EDMs include direct drive linear motors with Heidenhain absolute glass scale feedback, an energy saving circuit to save on power consumption, motion controller to provide simultaneous axis movement and a 10-year positioning guarantee. Small Hole EDMs feature the latest in servo technologies that increase speeds by up to 200%. The Small Hole EDMs are linear motor driven and easy to operate. Sodick's High Speed Mills can run at spindle speeds up to 40,000 rpm, are linear motor driven and provide extreme accuracy.
The Technical and Training Center will house Applications Engineers, Service and Support Engineers along with a Sales team. The facility will also house a new consumables warehouse, enabling west-coast customers to receive their consumables faster. The new facility is larger than the previous California location and in a more centralized location to better serve Sodick's west-coast customers.
