Smart Efficiency with HARTING Smart Power Networks

The HARTING Technology Group at Hannover Messe 2011

Espelkamp,- The 64th HANNOVER MESSE takes place in Hanover from April 4 to 8, 2011. This year's overall theme is Smart Efficiency, and companies will be presenting solutions for the intelligent interplay between costs, process and resource efficiency at 13 international sector shows along the industrial value creation chain. France will be the HANNOVER MESSE Official Partner. Exhibitor participation stands under the heading of "Innovation for Sustainable Growth", and the main focus will be on the areas of energy, sustainable mobility and energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency also plays a central role at the HARTING Technology Group exhibition stands this year. HARTING smart Power Networks will feature as a major highlight of the show on Main Stand C13, Hall 11. This intelligent energy network harnesses active network components to deliver intelligent energy distribution. Smart grids - currently the topic of so much discussion - can now be utilized by industry. These advances deliver significant benefits in planning, commissioning and facility availability, and are essential factors in boosting energy efficiency.

With over 800 m² of stand space, there will naturally be a lot more innovations on show from the HARTING trio of Installation Technology, Device Connectivity and Automation IT. This includes HARTING RFID system solutions - for KanBan applications, for example - and the new mCon 3000 series managed industry switches. These will also be on view at the Wind sector show in Hall 27, Stand J26. HARTING will be exhibiting there for the first time, presenting its solutions for the wind energy sector, such as the new members of the Han-Eco® product family, whose corrosion-resistant plastic housing will be of particular interest to the offshore sector. HARTING will also be exhibiting at MobiliTec (Hall 25, J11) - the sector show for hybrid and electrical propulsion technology, mobile energy storage and alternative mobility technology - showing its charging cable for electric automobiles and the corresponding gas pump interface, developed in cooperation with the RWE Energy Group.

HARTING will be taking its TectoYou training initiative to the show for the fifth time this year. These activities are designed to interest young people in technical vocations. HARTING has invited over 650 pupils from the region to come and experience TectoYou. In Pavilion 33 (Stand A02), fairgoers can immerse themselves in a hands-on world of technology. Back again this year: the model railway, which will only run when the right product is selected, and the highly popular "connector connection" game. The Jenga game and a sheet metal-folding game are new additions this year, where the aim is to produce a die. And the prize is something for you to tinker with at home with - a slide puzzle. The HARTING straw hat has become a real favorite at the show, and will be there again this year, too. As in previous years, HARTING trainees will be helping out on the stand, available for a chat or to answer questions about any product, and naturally the subject of "Training at HARTING".

Anyone wanting to find out more about HARTING as an employer can go to the Job & Career Market (Hall 7, A30-30) to find out about current job vacancies and talk to our HR Managers.

HARTING Mitronics will also be showcasing its innovations in the field of micro-technology separately, and is on location at the IVAM (International Professional Association for Micro-technology, Nanotechnology and New Materials) Shared Stand in Hall 6, E3.
