Smart Choices to Stay On Top in 2009

IPC APEX EXPO(TM) ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

BANNOCKBURN, Ill, USA, November 24, 2008 - IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries® recognizes that when the going gets tough, companies look to the association more than ever for answers and resources to cost effectively maintain their competitive edge. Online registration for one of those valued resources, IPC APEX EXPO(TM), is now available at www.IPCAPEXEXPO.org.

Unlike any other show, IPC APEX EXPO, March 29-April 2, 2009, features the industry's premier technical conference, standards development meetings, professional development courses and an exhibition with the industry's top suppliers. All events will take place at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Convention Center, Las Vegas.

"If you're looking to stay on top in 2009, this is not the time to crawl under a rock, while technology and innovation - and competitors - pass you by," said Michael Brown, chairman of the board, Logic Corporation, an EMS company based in Eden Prairie, Minn. "This is a time to make smart choices and get the most for your time and money. For me, that means attending IPC APEX EXPO. Networking and exchanging ideas with colleagues from around the world, finding out about new research and best practices, keeping on top of new standards that impact my work and my company, and having access to top suppliers so I can compare equipment and hopefully save lots of money - that's an effective use of my time and ensures I'm not going to get stale.

More than 425 suppliers with the newest products and emerging technologies will be featured on the show floor, allowing attendees to shop and compare equipment and processes all under one roof. This is a big advantage for attendees like Barry Borwege, manufacturing engineer for SPX Service Solutions, and Steve Kahn, technical operations manager at Wireless Technology Inc. Commenting on last year's show, Borwege said, "I found a new solder dross reducing agent that will save us thousands of dollars a year." Likewise, Kahn adds, "I found two pieces of equipment that are perfect for our assembly process that will save us hundreds of man hours."

To ease the travel investment, IPC meeting staff has "... worked diligently to negotiate even better hotel rates for attendees," reported IPC President & CEO Denny McGuirk. Details on the new lower hotel rates are available at www.IPCAPEXEXPO.org/hotels.
Access to the exhibit hall is free to pre-registrants - a savings of $25. Individuals who register before March 4 can save 20 percent on their registration for event activities, such as the technical sessions and professional development courses.
