Singer Valve Inc. Wins Innovation Award for the SPI-MV, Single Point Insertion Electromagnetic Flow Meter

Surrey, BC – Singer Valve, a leading manufacturer of control valves has received an innovation award by Flow Control Magazine for the new SPI-MV, the first Single Point Insertion Electromagnetic Flow Meter installed and calibrated with a control valve.  The SPI-MV can be utilized with a Singer metering valve as a standalone option or built into a 106-2SC-PCO pilot system to provide complete flow-based valve control. The winners were determined by reader votes.

The SPI-MV has been flow profiled and tested in McCrometer’s NIST traceable flow laboratory, so the unit is guaranteed accurate to the 2% of reading throughout the specified velocity range, and as it has already been profiled to match the Singer valve it works right out of the box.  With no moving parts and a single-piece design, the SPI Mag’s sensor contains nothing to wear or break, and it is generally immune to clogging by sand, grit or other debris.

Mark Gimson, Business Development and Marketing Manager for Singer Valve, “It’s easy installation, price and reliability along with the small size makes it the latest and greatest in flow meters for this application.”
