Sheri Thureen Named Vice President, Logistics Modernization Program

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Aug. 9 - Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that Sheri L. Thureen has been named vice president and program manager of CSC's Federal Sector Enterprise Business Systems operation. In this position, Thureen, who will report to Austin Yerks, president of CSC's Defense Integrated Solutions and Services Division, will lead the CSC operation responsible for supporting the U.S. Army's Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and other defense logistics programs.

Through the Army's logistics program, the service is modernizing its national-level logistics business practices, creating measurable improvements in Army readiness. The program encompasses the world's largest integrated supply chain, maintenance repair, and overhaul planning and execution, handling more than 1.6 million transactions daily.

Prior to her current position, Thureen directed technical development for the Army's logistics program, with responsibility for the design, development and implementation of more than 250 interfaces required to deploy the logistics solution. Previously, she was a project manager for CSC's information technology (IT) outsourcing contract with DuPont.

"Sheri has the ideal combination of IT expertise and managerial insight - in both the federal government and commercial sectors - to direct LMP, which is a critical part of the Army's global logistics network and processes," said Yerks. "She brings a level of experience and technical knowledge that will help CSC continue delivering impressive results for this important Army program."

With 19 years of IT experience, Thureen has an extensive background in enterprise resource planning and business reengineering transformations, infrastructure upgrades, and sales and marketing initiatives. She has worked on global projects spanning Europe, Asia and the U.S.
