Serapid, Inc to Exhibit New Telescopic Mast at the 2009 Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems Conference

SERAPID, Inc will exhibit for the first time at the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems, Inc. (AUVSI) Conference in Washington D.C. August 11-13.

At the conference, SERAPID will introduce their new telescopic mast. Powered by their Rigid Chain technology, this telescopic mast provides smooth motion at high speed with no drift. It can reach heights of 60 feet or more with loads of over 1000 pounds. Harsh environment models are also available, as well as custom-designed models.

SERAPID will also exhibit their new off-the-shelf non-magnetic telescopic actuator, the RigiBelt SD (Standard Drive). The RigiBelt SD is made of two reinforced plastic belts that interlock together much like a zipper to form a rigid telescopic column. It moves quickly while telescoping in and out and can provide either horizontal or vertical motion. This actuator is self-contained and driven by a 24V DC motor.

SERAPID, Inc specializes in horizontal and vertical motion through use of our Rigid Chain Technology. The Rigid Chain is a telescopic mechanical actuator that is flexible in one direction and forms a steel beam in the other direction. It is used in a variety of industries - automotive, stage and theater, nuclear, defense, aerospace and medical.
