LAKEWOOD, OH, U.S.A. - Sentry Protection Products' Rack Sentry® 100mm Cut-out was named winner in the Racking & Storage category of the Design 4 Safety Awards at the 2010 IMHX British materials handling and logistics tradeshow. A final judging panel of Health & Safety practitioners with industry experience deemed the Rack Sentry® product as best in its category for its strong design and cost effectiveness. Judges commented that the Rack Sentry® 100mm Cut-out is "Like an airbag for racking."
The Design 4 Safety Awards were organized by IMHX owners British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) and Quartz Publishing & Exhibitions Ltd. They created the awards to emphasize the importance of health and safety throughout the many sectors of the materials handling and logistics industry discipline. In addition, the awards were meant to emphasize the importance of improving safety standards through product design.
Rotationally molded from a durable, stress-crack resistant polyethylene, Rack Sentry® flexes to absorb impact preventing damage due to forklift collision, while also protecting the forklift and its operator. The product is easily installed without the use of tools and is able to withstand multiple collisions without the need for replacement. Owner of Sentry Protection Products, Jim Ryan, proudly accepted the inaugural award saying, "The show has been everything we expected and it's a real bonus to win one of the prestigious Design 4 Safety Awards."
