Sentry Electric, one of North America's most experienced and knowledgeable manufacturers of outdoor luminaires, announced that Building Operating Management Magazine has selected the company’s LED bollards as a recipient of its 2013 Top Product Award. The LED bollards were featured in the magazine's January 2013 edition.
A total of 560 products were originally considered for recognition, with the magazine's editorial staff finally selecting an elite group of 67 products. Selection criteria were based on the money-saving qualities offered to building owners and facility managers in areas such as energy consumption, lighting, productivity, maintenance, and more.
Sentry LED bollards, ruggedly constructed from either cast iron or aluminum, are an ideal choice for illuminating pathways, cross walks, driveways, parks, and other similar public spaces. LED bollards are configured with the most current light engine technology, thereby contributing to a reduction in energy consumption, maintenance, down time, and costs associated with today's sustainable initiatives. LED bollards are available in a range of color temperatures with a minimum of 50,000 hours of high CRI light, flattering to people, objects and structures.
LED bollard retrofit kits offer an upgrade of previously installed Sentry bollards, whereby a unitized LED optical assembly replaces the existing HID optical system. The existing bollard base and shaft need not be disturbed or replaced, which simplifies the installation process, reduces costs, and minimizes potential disruption to pedestrian or vehicular traffic.
