Press release date: February 12, 2007

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 12 /- Sensicore, a developer of smart sensor systems for measuring and monitoring water quality, today announced a new program that lets users trade in their dated testing equipment for a discount on Sensicore's acclaimed WaterPOINT 870 handheld water testing system. The program runs from February 1 - April 30, 2007 and will offer a $500 credit toward a new WaterPOINT 870 in exchange for legacy drinking water colorimetric devices from various manufacturers.

The WaterPOINT 870 can deliver 16 test results in about 6 minutes, with many more optical measurements in just a few additional minutes -- all in a single handheld device. This eliminates labor-intensive tasks such as calibrating multiple units or maintaining numerous single-measurement devices. The WaterPOINT 870 also offers cost efficiencies by drastically reducing waiting time for results, eliminating the need to send samples to an offsite lab for analysis and optimizing operations and chemical use.

"Sensicore's innovative trade-in/trade-up program lets users immediately begin implementing the cost reductions and time efficiencies of the WaterPOINT 870," said Malcolm Kahn, president and CEO of Sensicore. "We hope that this limited-time program will encourage users who plan to purchase the WaterPOINT 870 in the future to take the step now and start accruing the benefits immediately."

Ongoing Improvements for Changing Needs

Sensicore works closely with customers to ascertain their needs and deliver regular enhancements and usability improvements. Recent upgrades to the WaterPOINT 870 include reduced calibration time and improved accuracy. Sensicore also recently added the capability for EPA-approved free and total chlorine, turbidity and intrinsic color plus colorimetric tests for nitrate, nitrite, fluoride, ortho phosphate, iron and copper.

About the WaterPOINT 870

The WaterPOINT 870 is the only handheld water testing system that delivers more than 16 key water measurements in about 6 minutes. The WaterPOINT 870 provides a single system for all key field testing needs. The maintenance free system is menu-driven and designed to deliver highly accurate and reproducible results in an easy-to-use handheld device. The colorimetric module uses prepackaged liquid chemistries that are stable and do not require mixing. The pre-packaged ampoule technology is easy-to-use, highly accurate and stable, and doesn't require reagent mixing. The WaterPOINT 870 electronically records and stores up to 250 water profiles. Test results can be downloaded wirelessly or through a USB or RS232 interface onto lab computers, eliminating transcription errors that are commonplace with use of other chemical test kits and individual handheld devices.
