Wireless Sensor Networks now fully interoperable with CITECT, ICONICS, Invensys, National Instruments, and NK Technologies

Houston, TX and Needham, MA-October 17, 2006- At ISA Expo 2006, Sensicast Systems (www.sensicast.com), today announced proven interoperability and comprehensive integration of its flagship SensiNet Wireless Sensor Network platform with an impressive range of systems for control and automation from leading vendors whose products run in industrial and commercial facilities.

At Booth 2267 (Industrial Communications Pavilion), Sensicast is showcasing fully-operational, and shipping systems that are tightly integrated with third-party applications from vendors including CITECT, ICONICS, Invensys/Wonderware, National Instruments-LabView, and NKTechnologies.

"Automation and control professionals want to justify and gain value from prior investments, while leveraging new technologies to give them better operational intelligence and deliver quick and sustainable RO1," said Paul Richards, VP of Business Development and Partnerships, Sensicast. "Through joint engineering/integration initiatives with our partners --Sensicast has opened up the silos of data trapped within sensor networks and built cost-effective systems that now connect that information to the automation and IT infrastructures."

Sensicast's SensiNet 3.0® is the industry's first end-to-end, wireless mesh sensor network solution that can be tailored to specific applications using a self-configuring building block approach. Through its integration with popular industrial systems-SensiNet enables pervasive connectivity for easy data access/representation/reporting-yielding improved process control and dramatic operational efficiencies.

Applications that are pre-integrated with SensiNet those from the following vendors:

Citect www.citect.com ISA-Booth # 2852 Citect is a global provider of industrial automation, real-time intelligence, and next generation manufacturing execution systems (MES). Sensicast's SensiNet Services Gateway integrates with CitectSCADA for enhanced visualization and data reporting.

ICONICS www.iconics.com ISA-Booth # 1932 ICONICS is a worldwide leader in OPC, Web-enabled HMI/SCADA and Manufacturing Intelligence software. By "auto discovering" Smart Sensors within a SensiNet network, Sensicast synchronizes data with Iconics' GENESIS32 HMI/SCADA suite to provide real-time visualization, alarm management and plant historian functionality. Together Iconics and Sensicast give users real-time visibility into enterprise-wide operations and systems.

Invensys (Wonderware) ips.invensys.com ISA-Booth # 2226 Invensys is the world leader in industrial asset performance management. Sensicast's SensiNet Services Gateway meshes with Invensys Wonderware for seamless data integration while capturing real-time information from wireless sensor networks operating in refineries, gas plants, petrochemicals plants, power plants, and pulp and paper mills.

National Instruments (Nl LabVIEW) www.ni.com ISA-Booth #1842 SensiNet networks integrate with National Instruments' tools for data acquisition and process control, including the Nl LabVIEW solution for research and development and test-equipment. NTs virtual instrumentation increases productivity and lowers costs for test, control and design applications that integrate easily with SensiNet. At ISA Expo, Sensicast is a participant of the National Instruments LabVIEW Wireless Sensor Network Tour.

NK Technologies www.nktechnologies.com ISA-Booth #1647 NK Technologies is a leading manufacturer of Current Sensing Relays, Current Transducers, and Ground Fault Sensors for use in industrial and factory automation. Sensicast works closely with NK Technology to deliver joint solutions for motor status monitoring, fan/pump motor control, energy monitoring and ground fault sensing.

Sensicast SensiNet-Plug & Play Industrial Wireless Sensor Monitoring and Control In addition to its strong integration with solutions from its partners above, through its support of ModBus, ODBC, OPC, SOAP TCP/IP and other widely used industry-standard protocols, SensiNet is also interoperable with widely deployed systems from vendors such as GE Fanuc Automation, Honeywell, and Microsoft.
