Lawson M3 Solution to Be Group-Wide Standard for Global Processes
STOCKHOLM, Sweden-Aug. 25, 2006--Lawson Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:LWSN) has signed a contract with Sweden-based Seco Tools for licenses and support for the Lawson M3 software solution (previously Movex), which will become the standard for Seco Tools and its companies around the world. In total, the contract will encompass about 2,000 users in more than 20 countries. The contract was signed in Lawson's first quarter of fiscal 2007.
Seco Tools, headquartered in Fagersta in the Bergslagen region of Sweden, is a world leader in tools for cutting and machining. Customers place high demands on quick deliveries -- which in turn impose high demands on suppliers. Seco Tools is known for providing rapid and precise deliveries, which minimizes inventory or stocks. The company continues to grow, and today has 40 wholly owned subsidiaries around the world.
The Lawson M3 system will provide a global solution for Seco Tools to help the company coordinate and standardize its business processes around the world. It will enable orders to be placed anywhere in the world, fed into the Lawson M3 business system, and within 24 hours, products delivered to the customer. The system will replace several existing sales and manufacturing systems at Seco Tools.

The Lawson M3 system has already been in use within Seco Tools in the Nordic countries and a few other countries for the last five years, helping the company improve its delivery precision. As a result of this new contract, Lawson will now be standard throughout the group. In addition to the licenses, Lawson will be responsible for maintenance of the system on the IBM iSeries platform.
