Troy, Michigan - Seco Tools will be showcasing solutions for a wide range of wind power machining applications at WINDPOWER 2011. The company will exhibit its products in booth #3308 at the event, which takes place May 22 - 25 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
Visitors to Seco's booth will see the new generation Double Octomill R220.48 face milling cutter, a versatile tool that provides high productivity in roughing and finishing operations. The cutter incorporates HSS pins to secure and position inserts, ensuring maximum performance and reliability. Available in inch and metric measurements with Normal, Normal+ and Close pitch options, the Double Octomill guarantees process security across a broad range of materials and machine capabilities.
Seco's Turbo Mill line of milling cutters will also be on display. Turbo Mill square shoulder milling cutters feature a positive cutting rake design to reduce power consumption, increase tool life and enable the use of more aggressive cutting data. The cutters offer a coated and hardened surface to minimize tool wear and prevent chips from welding to the cutting body. The Turbo Mill helical cutters offer similar benefits, with the ability to handle a substantially larger depth of cut. Turbo Mill helical cutters integrate strong, thick inserts that are secured with TorxPlus(TM) screws to make maximum use of available power.
The gear gashing capabilities of Seco will be of particular interest to WINDPOWER 2011 attendees. These custom tools include v-shape roughing cutters, roughing profile cutters and finish profile cutters. Seco's long history of grade development for gear cutting allows the creation of special tools perfectly suited to the unique needs of any North American wind power or gear manufacturer.
Seco will also be presenting information on its range of Bridge Bars and Jumbo Bridge bars for highly productive, large diameter boring and grooving.
