Schenck AccuRate's DEA Open Frame Weighbelt was named the Processing Magazine 2011 Breakthrough Product of the Year. The decision to award Schenck AccuRate for the product was based on the innovative design and industry leading technology in sanitary weighing and feeding of dry bulk solids.
The new weighbelt feeder includes all the necessary features for maintaining a sanitary process with tool-less, rapid belt removal for frequent cleaning cycles, an IP69K stainless steel load cell manufactured to withstand high pressure spray, a shaft mounted, wash-down drive system for simple power transmission, and product contact surfaces with 316 stainless steel.
DEA Sanitary Open Frame Weighbelt Feeders provide weight controlled feeding, weight indication and totalization for fragile materials like cereals, snack foods, kibble, fruits, and pasta. Other features include accuracies of ± 0.25% to 1% of set rate sigma, BIC (belt weight influence compensation), and model sizes of 12" and 24" belt widths.
A v-profile belt guide provides reliable tracking and minimal hardware requirements while a gravity-assist head pulley scraper and an internal plow automatically clean both sides of the belt. Feed rates up to 2,660 cubic feet per hour are achievable with the new DEA Open Frame Weighbelt Feeder. By packaging all of these features in one easy to use weigh feeding system make the DEA Sanitary Open Frame Weighbelt a viable and unique product for sanitary processes and one the company is proud to have been named the 2011 Processing Magazine Breakthrough Product of the Year.
