Scapa Unveils its Compressible Sleeves Tapes for the Printing Market |

Scapa Group plc, the global manufacturer of bonding materials and solutions and makers of Exafit® and Hardmount®, has unveiled a new compressible sleeves tape range.
Scapa's Global Industrial Business Unit Director, Michael Muchin, commented "Some of our customers need a bonding solution for compressible sleeves during long print runs, and we wanted to provide an answer for that. Customers told us that the ideal tape for long runs needs to provide reliable and long-lasting securing of the mounting plate on one side, while being easily mounted and de-mounted again on the other side." With its specially formulated adhesives on either side of the filmic tapes, Scapa's new range of compressible sleeve tapes provides exactly this.
In addition, true to Exafit and Hardmount's hallmark of superior thickness consistency, the new range has been formulated based on a PVC carrier, rather than the commonly used PET carriers. The result is a perfect ink distribution and premium print quality.
The compressible sleeve tapes are the latest addition to Scapa's existing Exafit and Hardmount ranges. "The printing industry's needs are diversifying", Michael Muchin commented, "and our ranges have to reflect that. We are very pleased to have come up with a solution for compressible sleeves".
