Press release date: January 22, 2008

Expanded, online training for engineered mobile hydraulic systems AMES, IOWA, USA - SAUER-DANFOSS INC. (NYSE:SHS) Sauer-Danfoss has launched a new online training opportunity for PLUS+1(TM) GUIDE application software. Called GUIDE Training Online, it features an extensive tutorial. Designed to make e-learning available to anyone, anywhere, at any time, GUIDE Training Online is a self-guided, self-paced experience with easy, intuitive navigational features.

GUIDE (Graphical User Integrated Development Environment) is designed for use with Sauer-Danfoss PLUS+1 microcontrollers, I/O modules and an ever broadening range of PLUS+1 Compliant components including pumps, motors, valves, joysticks and graphical terminals. Use of GUIDE sets new standards for mobile machine control system design and improved machine performance.

"GUIDE has been constantly evolving and growing since the introduction of PLUS+1 in 2004," states Fred Bezat, Sauer-Danfoss' Application Software Product Portfolio Manager. "Putting the tutorial online creates a mechanism to efficiently update the information we want to have out there for customers and prospective customers. Also, since the GUIDE Training Online course structure allows a person to interact with GUIDE, from learning simple informational material to actual hands-on programming, it's a very sophisticated supplement for classroom training."

The GUIDE e-learning experience consists of four parts: Introduction, Programming, Advanced Programming and vLabs(TM) (virtual labs). The modules encapsulate the material presented in Sauer-Danfoss' four-day, instructor-led training course. Students who have actually purchased a GUIDE license and starter kit of related hardware components and materials can use their own hardware as an aid for learning. As an alternative, the vLabs(TM) feature of GUIDE Training Online allows students to do actual programming without purchase of hardware or a GUIDE license.

Bezat comments, "We wanted to maximize the potential for learning and that's why Sauer-Danfoss GUIDE Training Online takes training from hypothetical to actual hands-on experience. It's also great for students who can't arrange to regularly attend in-class training or for occasional users who want to be refreshed and updated on their training."

GUIDE Training Online is a unique way to learn how to develop electro-hydraulic control system applications. Such virtual knowledge sharing is the foundation of Sauer-Danfoss' commitment to educating people about mobile hydraulics. Anyone interested in trying Sauer-Danfoss GUIDE training can log in by visiting the PLUS+1 web site at www.sauer-danfoss-plus1.com.
