VANCOUVER - Smartcool Systems Inc. (TSXV: SSC) has begun a roll-out of the ESM(TM) to improve the energy efficiency of air conditioning systems in Saudi Aramco's facilities.
Aramco is Saudi Arabia's national oil company and the world's largest oil company by crude oil production and exports.
Smartcool's ESM(TM) has undergone significant testing with Saudi Aramco, resulting in the addition of the ESM(TM) to Aramco's approved product purchasing Technical Information Centre. When tested on a single air conditioning chiller providing comfort cooling to an Aramco office building, the ESM(TM) delivered annual energy savings of 65,883 kWh and a return on investment in 17 months.
"Based on our testing of the ESM(TM) with Aramco and the excellent results achieved, we are moving forward with an initial installation of the technology on several air conditioning chillers in Aramco's Dhahran Community," explains Dan Mizesko of US Chiller Services MENA. The adoption of Smartcool technology to improve their facility energy efficiency is another step on the path towards a clean energy future in the Middle East."
