Sartomer Names Plant Manager


Sartomer USA, LLC has appointed Marilyn Hanover plant manager at the company’s Chatham, Va., manufacturing facility. In her new role, Hanover will be responsible for all plant operations and activities. She reports directly to Kenneth Sweeney, director, photocure manufacturing.



Hanover enters her new position with over 30 years of manufacturing experience in the chemical industry. She began her career as a research engineer for Dow Chemical Company, where she advanced into leadership positions including supply chain manager and production superintendent. She has worked with a wide variety of chemistries and technologies including SaranTM resins, bromine derivatives, agricultural chemicals, aspirin and ion exchange resins. In 1996, Hanover joined Sartomer as a technical manager at the Chatham facility.



“Marilyn’s extensive knowledge and familiarity with Sartomer’s operations suit her well for this management role,” said Sweeney. “Her assignment allows us to continue providing the high-quality products and service that our customers expect.”



Hanover earned her B.S in chemical engineering from Purdue University in Indiana and currently serves on the board of directors of the Danville Pittsylvania Chamber of Commerce.
