Fair Lawn, New Jersey, October 23, 2007 - Chris Mills was recently named Project Manager of Aerospace Development for Sandvik Coromant. In his new role, Mr. Mills will focus on boosting sales growth, while leading a team of specialists in the implementation of the Sandvik Coromant Aerospace Application Center in North America.
"Chris has an extensive knowledge of manufacturing both in theory and in practice, as well as an acumen for sales and marketing," said John Israelsson, President of Sandvik Coromant. "He will be an essential element in Sandvik Coromant's push to provide complete component solutions to our aerospace customers."
Mr. Mills joined Sandvik Coromant as a Sales Engineer in 1994, following a nine-year tenure as a mechanical and design engineer for the Royal Signals and Radar Establishment, Defense Research Agency in the United Kingdom. For the last eight years, Mr. Mills has worked in Sandviken, Sweden, first as Grade Development Specialist for aerospace turning and most recently, as the Senior Manager of Application Management.
As Senior Manager, Mr. Mills was responsible for building and developing global Application Management for aerospace and high technology machine capabilities, enabling Sandvik Coromant to deliver complete solutions to its customers.
