Sandvik AB Ranks High on Industrial Components & Fixtures Patent Scorecard(TM)
Fair Lawn, New Jersey, June 12, 2008 - Sandvik AB, parent company of Sandvik Coromant, achieved a number 26 ranking in The Patent Board's annual scorecard for Industrial Components & Fixtures. The list was published in the April 22, 2008 issue of the Wall Street Journal.
Sandvik AB's Patent Scorecard ranking is measured by the degree to which its patent-based intellectual property portfolio is building on core science, as well as the impact the portfolio is having on technology developed by the rest of the industry. Based on 13-week rolling averages, Sandvik AB boasts a 47.7 technical strength and has had 72 patents granted.
