DALLAS, June 9 / -- Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung) and T-Mobile USA, Inc. today announced the retail availability of three new clamshell designed mobile phones, the t609, t209 and t319 - available exclusively from T-Mobile. The small, colorful flip phones give consumers the freedom to communicate with those who matter most through voice, messaging and multimedia capabilities that best suit any occasion.
Samsung's t609 comes in a stylish white exterior and is loaded with advanced features that make staying in touch a breeze. As a multimedia device, the t609 has an MP3 player and an external microSD(TM) memory slot allowing consumers to transfer favorite pictures and MP3 tunes and play them on the phone. The t609 also includes a video media player, 1.3 megapixel camera and camcorder.
Whether traveling around the world or across town, the t609 is an ideal mobile phone with T-Mobile's high-speed EDGE network, quad band "world phone" capabilities and Bluetooth(R) wireless technology support for hands-free operation. The phone's advanced speaker recognition function also simplifies dialing numbers and launching applications with voice commands.
Samsung's t209, available in red and light blue, gives this great messaging phone a fun splash of color. The t209 supports AOL Instant Messenger and Yahoo! Instant Messenger and comes equipped with a speakerphone for hands- free communication. With multimedia messaging support (MMS), consumers can send and receive text messages with pictures and sound bites attached.
