Saint-Gobain and NSG Group Pursue Joint Expansion in Brazil

COURBEVOIE, France, November 26, 2010 -- Cebrace announced today plans to build a new float glass plant in Bahia State, in northeastern Brazil. The new facility will be the sixth float line owned by Cebrace Cristal Plano Ltda, a joint venture between Saint-Gobain Glass and NSG Group in Brazil. The project will enable Cebrace to serve its customers more effectively in this fast-growing region.

The plant will be capable of producing 600 tonnes of flat glass a day to supply the Brazilian construction and automotive markets.

Scheduled to come on stream in first-quarter 2013, the world-class production facility will further consolidate Cebrace's geographic coverage of the Brazilian market, where it already has four float lines in the Southeast (including one under construction) and one in the South.

The new plant will enable Cebrace to keep pace with growth in the Brazilian flat glass market and to strengthen its local leadership position.
