Safway Enters Baton Rouge Commercial and Industrial Market with Opening of Multiservice Branch
Baton Rouge, La., Â – Baton Rouge commercial and industrial companies have a new, game-changing multiservice option with the arrival of Safway Group’s new branch location on Airline Highway. Safway is bringing its internationally known scaffolding and specialty access services to the capital area, along with high-end industrial coatings and insulation capabilities.
“Commercial and industrial clients in Louisiana have trusted Safway for many years, thanks to our existing locations in the state,” said Sam Pruet, a Baton Rouge native and manager of the new Baton Rouge branch. “But the Baton Rouge area is a dynamic community with a growing need for high-end services, so we’re very happy to support the community’s progress with a local presence.”
There also has been a growing need in Louisiana’s refining and petroleum markets for integrated industrial services that span planning, engineering, project management, access and scaffold equipment and, ultimately, delivery of coatings and insulation, all of which the Safway Baton Rouge branch is prepared to deliver. “We expect more than a third of Safway’s eight-figure Louisiana revenue to come from coatings and insulation this year,” Pruet said.
A key feature of Safway’s Baton Rouge office is a nearby five-acre blast yard, which allows for efficient surface preparation of large equipment in a safe, highly controlled environment. “Owners like our blast yard because it means their work gets a top quality coating before it arrives at the installation site,” Pruet explained. “It keeps their site clean, and speeds up installation when all they have to do is touch-up coating.”
In addition to new industrial equipment, the yard also handles tanker trucks that need to be blasted and painted to comply with a new state regulation, Pruet added.
The branch also brings HVAC services to the Safway lineup for the first time, a move sparked by a Baton Rouge HVAC contractor, Holenn Rousell, who Safway brought aboard. Rousell has known Safway for many years, and saw obvious benefits in adding HVAC services to Safway’s portfolio of commercial and industrial services.
The new Safway office, with its vast inventory of scaffolding on a little over three acres is becoming something of a landmark at 13207 Airline Highway in Gonzales, LA. The 16,000-square-foot office is home to 12 Baton Rouge staff, plus a handful of regional and corporate Safway professionals for whom the location is a good fit.
