Press release date: March 20, 2008

Danielson, CT - SPIROL has redesigned the Series CL101 and CL111 Brass Compression Limiter line to significantly reduce cost. The original brass line was introduced by SPIROL in the 1990's during the time when companies started converting many metal assemblies over to plastic. The initial version of the Brass Compression Limiter line was designed with a thick wall to prevent the plastic from cracking as a result of the expected clamp load generated by the tightening of the bolts.

Since that time, SPIROL has worked with hundreds of companies who required a Compression Limiter for their assembly. The market knowledge gained by our Application Engineering Department indicated that the wall thickness on the Brass Compression Limiter could be reduced and still meet the majority of the application requirements. Therefore, SPIROL has reintroduced the new, improved and less expensive CL101 and CL111 Solid Brass Compression Limiters.

In addition to the Series CL101 and CL111, SPIROL's comprehensive line of Compression Limiters includes the Series CL200 and CL250 (split seam) and Series CL500 and CL550 (molded-in) designs.

SPIROL engineers will review your application needs and work with your design team to recommend the best solution at the lowest installed cost. To access this service, visit the SPIROL web site at www.spirol.com and select Compression Limiters under the Optimal Application Engineering portal.
