SPE's International Polyolefins Conference and FlexPackCon(TM) Announce Call for Papers
Both Conferences to Co-Locate in Houston in February 2008
Brookfield, CT - The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) announces a call for papers for both the International Polyolefins Conference 2008 and FlexPackCon 2008, which will be co-located at the Wyndham Greenspoint Hotel in Houston, Texas, February 24-28.
The conference sponsors, the South Texas Section, Flexible Packaging, Thermoplastic Materials and Foams, and Polymer Modifiers and Additives Divisions of SPE, invite interested parties to submit abstracts for suggested talks on all industry areas including, but not limited to, the following:
o Advancements in New Materials (Compostable, Barrier, Nanocomposites)
o Advancements in Polymer Fillers, Compatibilizers & Materials
o Advances in Processing Technology
o Converting Technologies
o Advances in Additives and Modifiers
o Packaging Security Systems
o Packaging Systems
o Value-Added Features (Easy-Open/Reclose/Active Packaging/etc.)
o Retailer Requirements
o Legislation/Regulations
o Consumer Preferences
Submission Process
Submissions will be peer-reviewed for technical quality, originality, style, and relevance; commercial references are discouraged. Deadline for abstract submissions for both conferences is October 15, 2007. Abstracts are not to exceed 100 words.
