SPE International Polyolefins Conference, Now Open for Registration, will Address Industry "Renaissance" Fueled by Boom in Shale Gas



HOUSTON, TX, U.S.A., --  Abundant and cheap natural gas from hydraulic fracturing is transforming the polyolefins industry in the U.S.A., creating new opportunities for petrochemical and plastics companies. Reflecting this, "The Polyolefin Renaissance" will be the theme of next month's 2014 Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) International Polyolefins Conference in Houston.



Organized by the SPE South Texas Section, the conference will take place February 23-26, 2014 at the Hilton Houston North Hotel. Details and online registration are available at www.spe-tx.org/conference.php.



The 25th SPE International Polyolefins Conference will be the world's largest polymer conference on polyolefins, with 84 technical presentations, 64 exhibitor booths, and an anticipated attendance of more than 600 technical and business professionals. The 14 topical sessions will focus on new developments in industry investment, catalysts and polymerization processes, polymer stabilization, modifiers and additives, resins and applications, engineering grades, medical devices, films, fibers, rigid packaging, reinforced compounds, and other areas.



There will be six keynote presentations by the following speakers:
