SERAPID Produces Custom Telescopic Mast for Defense Industry Contractor
STERLING HEIGHTS, MI - Serapid, Inc., a leading supplier of lift and transfer systems, has produced a customized telescopic mast system, TeleMast(TM), for SRC Inc., a Syracuse based non-profit, research and development company, specializing in defense, environmental and intelligence projects.
SRC's product, the VantagePoint(TM) System, is a self contained modular surveillance unit, easily transportable and easily re-configurable. It can detect and track people, vehicles and aircraft, with complete 360 degree capabilities, communicating remotely via satellite. Fundamental to the system is Serapid's Telemast(TM) with the unique Serapid Rigid Chain technology. This technology allows the unit to be precisely positioned to exact increments, with the ability to lock in position for extended periods. The Rigid Chain is electro-mechanically motorized, does not rely on gravity for retraction, and is well suited to harsh conditions and severe weather.
