SCIenergy, Inc. Provides First Application to Support Ongoing Commissioning in USGBC's "App Lab"

Time Saving & Convenient Technology Accelerates LEED® Certification

SAN FRANCISCO - SCIenergy, Inc., the global leader in providing cloud-based energy management solutions for building owners and operators, today announced it will provide the first application to support ongoing commissioning in the United States Green Building Council's (USGBC) new App Lab Campaign launching this week.

The concept was created to make the LEED forms and reporting process faster and easier for project teams. The App Lab collects data by third-party "apps", uploads and reviews it, essentially automating the LEED certification process. SCIenergy's, SCIwatch® solution is a featured app in the lab customized to satisfy LEED EBOM EA c2.3 and ease the overall commissioning process as well.

"We're pleased to partner with the USGBC for its App Lab -- helping to automate and even accelerate LEED certification. Only 4% of buildings go after these hard to achieve credits. Being the first application to support ongoing commissioning means an opportunity to help ease the process for LEED applicants," said Russ McMeekin, president and chief executive officer, SCIenergy.

"The LEED App Lab has been highly anticipated as a way to leverage multiple partners to expand the presence of green building," said Scot Horst, Senior Vice President, LEED, U.S. Green Building Council. "The potential leverage points are so numerous that we really cannot anticipate the full impact of the App Lab. All we are sure of is that we have created a place to ignite the flames of true innovation and growth. LEED already embodied innovation. Now we are pushing LEED toward an entirely new world of possibilities and we're thrilled SCIenergy is on board."

SCIenergy stood with the USGBC as Platinum Sponsor at Greenbuild 2011 successfully deploying its energy consumption tracking application, SCItrack(TM) at the Metro Toronto Convention Center, home of the Greenbuild NEXT event. SCItrack was also deployed at the Price Waterhouse Coopers Tower, 18 York, a feature property of the Greenbuild Commercial Building Tour Series.

Eight companies were selected by the USGBC for this first launch phase of the App Lab. Details about SCIenergy's "app" can be found by visiting the USGBC App Lab: new.usgbc.name/apps/ and www.scienergy.com/usgbc.
