Offered at the Southern Research Institute in Birmingham, AL, SAE International seminars include "Lead-time Reduction: Concept to Market" on February 4th with instructors Robert A. Ayres and Donald E. Malen. "Introduction to Metallurgy and Its Practice," to be held from February 5-7, will be instructed by Darrell W. Smith and "Patent Law for Engineers" seminar on February 8th will be led by Russell E. Levine of Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

SAE International is offering professional development seminars in February at the Southern Research Institute in Birmingham, Ala.
The seminars include:
o Lead-time Reduction: Concept to Market When: Feb. 4, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Instructors: Robert A. Ayres, Adjunct Faculty, Wayne State University and Donald E. Malen, Adjunct Faculty, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Michigan
o Introduction to Metallurgy and Its Practice When: Feb. 5-7, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Instructor: Darrell W. Smith, Metallurgy and Materials Consultant and Professor Emeritus of Metallurgical Engineering, Michigan Technological University
o Patent Law for Engineers When: Feb. 8, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Instructor: Russell E. Levine, Partner, Kirkland & Ellis LLP
