SAE International and ASM International Agree to Strategic Book Partnership
WARRENDALE, Pa.,--SAE International and the American Welding Society (AWS) have agreed to a strategic partnership that will enable SAE International to sell print and electronic versions of selected AWS books both in their entirety and as individual chapters.
The agreement, to be expanded over time, includes eight initial titles:
-- The Practical Reference Guide for Corrosion of Welds
-- The Practical Reference Guide for High-Quality Fusion Welding of Aluminum
-- The Practical Reference Guide to Welding Titanium
-- The Practical Reference Guide to Welding Aluminum in Commercial Applications
-- The Practical Reference Guide to Welding Metallurgy- Key Concepts for Weldability
-- Welding Aluminum: Questions and Answers
-- Guide to Weldability: Carbon and Low-Alloy Steels
-- Total Welding Management

The agreement is part of SAE International's Content Partnership Program, which seeks to expand SAE International's publishing program by partnering with book publishers, industry experts, multimedia producers and a variety of other technical knowledge providers. This includes the resale of premium content from sources such as commercial publishers, think tanks and research-driven corporations, co-publishing opportunities, recruiting new authors with expertise in cutting-edge technologies, and acquiring exclusive magazine and newsletter content.
