Ballistics Pressure Measurement Training Course

Depew, NY, USA - PCB Piezotronics, Inc., was pleased to host The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI), at our headquarters facility in Depew, NY. SAAMI is an association of the nation's leading manufacturers of firearms, ammunition and components.

SAAMI was founded in 1926 at the request of the federal government and tasked with:
·Coordinating technical data
·Promoting safe and responsible firearms use
·Creating and publishing industry standards for safety, interchangeability, reliability and quality

The visit included twenty seven SAAMI members from sixteen participating organizations. During the visit PCB® presented sensor theory, proper sensor selection, installation, cable handling, charge amplifier use, sensor cleaning and calibration, and provided tours of our crystals manufacturing department, machine shop, and a live fire demonstration in our firing range.

"The close cooperation and interaction with strategic partners is essential to stay on the cutting edge of technology and technology development", said Rick Patterson, Managing Director of SAAMI. "We appreciate the opportunity PCB has provided to share their knowledge and exchange information and experiences related to the incredibly important topic of pressure measurement."
