Sustainable Solutions in Turbulent Economic Times

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Feb. 10 -- Shoplogix, the developer of Plantnode® and leading provider of real-time performance management solutions (RPM) that enables sustainable Continuous Improvement programs, is pleased to announce that Ryerson Inc., a leading North American distributor and processor of metals is extending their use of Plantnode across 14 plants in North America to support an enterprise wide O.O.E. improvement strategy.

"Our ability to visualize the process is pointing the way to important productivity improvements at Ryerson", said Brian Kluge, Director of Operations at Ryerson. "With Plantnode we know we will continue to see sustainable productivity improvements in our existing implementations and will realize benefits across the organization as we standardize on the Shoplogix product line." Ryerson's initial deployment of Plantnode yielded a productivity increase of 19% and resulted in a 28 day payback on the investment.

Martin Ambrose CEO at Shoplogix added, "We are seeing more companies like Ryerson seize productivity improvement opportunities across their organization, particularly in these difficult economic times. Our customers can leverage a common view of the business, deploying the same tools to build common metrics across many different plants to get a true understanding of how their organization is performing and what they can do to increase efficiency and drive profitability continuously."

Ryerson plans to roll out the enterprise implementation of Shoplogix's Plantnode solution throughout the first half of 2009.
