Rushville, NY - Rush Machinery, Inc. will showcase its Air Bearing End Mill Grinding Fixture at IMTS - The International Manufacturing Technology Show 2010, being held at Chicago's McCormick Place September 13-18. Rush Machinery can be found in Booth #N-7233 which is located in the Abrasive Machining/Sawing/Finishing Pavilion in the North Building.
The Air Bearing End Mill Grinding Fixture is ideal for tool grinders and others in the metalworking industry who require precision sharpening of flutes and ends on endmills and similar tools. The fixture features a hard chrome plated and ground spindle, and provides nearly frictionless motion resulting in a smooth, even grind.
Rapid cam action indexing results in efficient grinding for end work, and the floating drawbar handle ensures smooth, even O.D. grinding. The fixture is further enhanced with a 5C spindle bore that allows use of high-accuracy 5ST collets and 5C collets. Rush's unique micrometer infeed is built into the fixture for fine feeding of the tool into the wheel.
A hard chrome-plated spindle, 12 position index disk and flute follower finger assembly come standard on the Air Bearing End Mill Grinding Fixture. Options include index disks to 24 divisions, a choice of bases for universal mounting or to fit Rush Drill and Tool Grinders and extension bushings for large diameter tools.
