Largest IT and Telecom Industry Event in Latin America Chooses Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi for Second Straight Year
RIO DE JANEIROÂ — FUTURECOM (Booth A22)Â — Ruckus Wireless, Inc. (NYSE: RKUS) announced today that for the second year in a row, Futurecom, one of the largest telecommunications and IT industry events held annually in Latin America, will have an advanced Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi network to provide reliable, high-performance mobile Internet connectivity to well over 10,000 show participants.
Taking place at the RioCentro Exhibition and Convention Center now through October 24th, the network will again be a critical backbone for exhibitors, speakers and attendees.
Link Solution, a Ruckus partner that handles telecommunications operations in the largest convention centers in Brazil, is again managing the Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi network at Futurecom. The Ruckus Smart Wi-Fi network at RioCentro consists of 75 Ruckus ZoneFlex™ access points (APs), featuring the Ruckus ZoneFlex 7363 802.11n indoor dual-band AP, all centrally managed with Ruckus ZoneDirector™ 3000 Series controllers.
Ruckus ZoneFlex APs feature patented BeamFlex™ adaptive antenna technology that maximizes signal coverage, throughput, and network capacity, and ensures high performance in tough, high-density operating environments like RioCentro. The BeamFlex software continually adapts to environments like RioCentro with all its physical obstacles and unpredictable radio frequency (RF) conditions, numerous communicating devices, network performance issues, and application flows. Then, it selects the optimum antenna pattern for each communicating device in real time, while minimizing noise to nearby networks and devices.
