Erlanger, KY-Romi Machine Tools Ltd., a major manufacturer of CNC lathes, Engine Lathes, Turning Centers and Machining Centers, has promoted Mr. Jody Michaels to National Sales & Application Manager. His previous positions were Applications Engineering Manager and Application Engineer.
Mr. Michaels is responsible for all sales and applications in the U.S. and Canada. He also is responsible for management of Romi's regional sales managers and the company's 21 distributor organizations.
Mr. Michaels began his career with Romi in 2002. Before joining the company he had a 23-year career with Cincinnati Milacron working in manufacturing, application engineering and sales supervisory positions. He attended Wright State University and has trained extensively in cad/cam systems, automotive applications and CNC programming.
Romi is one of the world's largest machine tool builders with an installed base of over 150,000 machines. The company manufactures metalcutting machine tools, plastic injection molding machinery and RomicronŽ ultra precision boring systems. Romi's captive foundry supplies castings for its own line of machine tools as well as for other customers around the world. The company services US customers from its Erlanger, KY facility.
