SPE Extrusion Division MINITEC Keynote Speaker Roger Kipp to Explore Company Strategies for Building 'an Innovative Culture'



NEWTOWN, CT., U.S.A., Roger Kipp will deliver the keynote address at the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Extrusion MINITEC, focusing on how companies can systematically foster innovation, it was announced today by SPE’s Extrusion Division.



The MINITEC, a one-day technical conference to be co-located with the SPE Thermoforming Division’s 22nd Annual Conference, will take place September 12, 2013 in Atlanta, GA at the Renaissance Atlanta Waverly Hotel. The event is titled “Overview of the Extrusion Process for Thermoforming Sheet – Pellet to Product, or Everything You Wanted to Know About Extrusion but Were Afraid to Ask.”



Titled “Starting our Innovation Engine,” Mr. Kipp’s address will investigate “innovation engineering,” which he describes as “the systematic approach for organizations to develop a commitment to a cultural change that is strategic, continuous and energized for the development of new products, technologies, process improvements, and sales growth. The most successful companies globally are those with visionary, energized leaders who have created an innovative culture within their organization.”



Roger Kipp recently retired from McClarin Plastics and is now a consultant specializing in business development strategy. He has been a member of the board of the SPE Thermoforming Division since 1992, serving as conference chairman, conference treasurer, division treasurer and division chairman.  He serves on the SPE Finance Committee and Foundation Committee. SPE has honored Mr. Kipp with the 2002 Outstanding Achievement Award, a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003, the Honored Service Member Award in 2008, and the Thermoformer of the Year Award in 2010.
