Press release date: November 30, 2009

REDMOND, WASH. (November 30, 2009) - Genie Industries, a subsidiary of Terex Corporation (NYSE: TEX), announced today that Roger Brown, Senior VP of Global Sales, will retire. Brown's last day with the Company will be December 31st, 2009.

"Roger is an icon in the aerial industry and has engendered a feeling of respect among those he worked alongside and led," said Tim Ford, President, Terex AWP. "This feeling not only permeated Genie for decades, but extended out into the entire rental industry. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Roger for all that he has done for our organization. He provided true value and helped customers to grow their businesses and will be greatly missed internally as well as throughout the industry. But we will build upon his legacy and will be stronger for it."

Brown was one of the principals who took Genie Industries from a small aluminum products manufacturer more than three decades ago and made it into arguably the largest manufacturer of aerial products in the world; one with a vast global footprint. During the rental industry's formation and consolidation years, Brown helped the industry's growth and development. At the peak of industry demand in 2008, Genie Industries employed more than 5,800 team members globally to produce sufficient units to meet customer needs. Joe George, VP Global Sales for Terex AWP, will assume Brown's responsibilities.
