Minneapolis, Minnesota: Kurt Manufacturing Company announced the appointment of Robert Swanson to the position of Chip Solutions Sales Engineer for its Industrial Products Division.
Swanson will head up sales and service for the company's line of "Chipmunk" metal chip compactors. He will work directly with machine shop customers to improve their ferrous and non-ferrous metal chip recycling thereby creating profit centers using the latest Kurt Chipmunk systems.
Swanson brings to Kurt over 30 years of broad sales engineering experience including 20 years with Mirada Research & Manufacturing, Inc., of Ironton and Chaska, Minnesota where he held both engineering and sales management positions. He was responsible for the development and marketing of innovative pneumatic products used in commercial, military, aerospace, marine and aviation applications and was directly involved in the development of eight U.S. design patents.
Swanson also was general manager of Survival Engineering, Inc. of Oakdale, Minnesota for 11 years. He began his career with Eaton Corporation's Char-Lynn Division and attended the University of Minnesota.
