Reservoir Labs Expands R-Scope® Cyber Security Monitoring Solutions
Company leverages Myricom FastStack™ Sniffer10G™ in new 20 Gbps mid-range product
NEW YORK – Following Reservoir Labs' groundbreaking 100 Gbps R-Scope® DOMINATE-T™ announcement in May, the company today introduced the R-Scope PACE-X™, a new mid-range addition to the R-Scope suite of scalable network security monitoring appliances. The 1U rack-mountable R-Scope PACE-X system extracts and analyzes cyber-security intelligence data from network traffic, incorporating Myricom's FastStack™ Sniffer10G™ technology for sustained performance at 20 Gbps.Â
Designed for adaptive cyber defense, Reservoir's R-Scope next generation cyber-security systems detect complex indicators of compromise, delivering dynamic attack discrimination and real-time situational awareness beyond the sophistication levels of traditional signature-based IDS/IPS systems. To enable the protocol-aware analytics needed to recognize these complex indicators, R-Scope leverages and extends the state-of-the-art open source Bro(1) analytics scripting language. This targeted approach empowers cyber-security analysts to deploy defensive measures and encapsulate security policies tailored to their unique environments, while at the same time maintaining compatibility with the breadth of available open-source Bro analytics.Â
R-Scope PACE-X utilizes Myricom's industry leading, high performance 10 Gb Ethernet network adapters to provide line rate, zero loss packet capture. Myricom's FastStack™ Sniffer10G™ technology allows R-Scope PACE-X to deliver 20 Gbps of sustained performance directly to the cyber-security user analytics, bypassing performance degrading kernel to user space packet copies.
