Research Triangle Park, NC and Istanbul, Turkey (February 21, 2006) - Reichhold, Prosim and Ege Kimya have jointly announced the creation of a strategic alliance in Turkey in the fields of unsaturated polyester resins for composites applications and saturated polyester resins for powder coatings.
Reichhold and ProRsim have jointly formed Reichhold Turkey which will market composites and powder coating resins in the Turkish market. Prosim has been involved in selling Reichhold products since 1999.
Reichhold Turkey has signed a manufacturing agreement with Ege Kimya to source these products. Ege Kimya will upgrade their resin manufacturing plant in Adapazari, Turkey to manufacture state-of-the-art Reichhold products. Doug Frey, Reichhold Executive VP, Global Composites stated, "Business development in rapid growth markets is very important for our future. We are very excited about this new alliance with two local partners." Semih Işçimenler, Managing Director of Prosim, commented, "Bringing Reichhold technology with local manufacturing to our customers will set new performance standards in the Turkish market."
