Rehm Thermal Systems at SMT/Hybrid/Packaging 2011

Rehm Thermal Systems will be attending SMT/Hybrid/Packaging 2011 in Nuremberg, Germany from 3rd to the 5th May, where they will be showcasing a variety of products in Hall 7 on Booth 329. Rehm will be joining leading organisations from the SMT-Equipment, components and services sectors to provide visitors with information on the newest trends and developments. Many of Rehm's pioneering products and system solutions will be on show at the event including the VisonXP, VisionXS and RDS Drying Systems. Experts from the Rehm team will also be on hand to deliver presentations to visitors about all aspects of their thermal system solutions offering.

Visitors to the Rehm booth can take advantage of seeing the VisionXP and the benefits it provides for manufacturers. It is equipped with an integrated Pyrolysis system, which shortens long molecular chains to reduce the amount of condensable waste within the process chamber. Operating at approximately 500°C, Pyrolysis ensures a clean and dry reflow system ensuring environmentally friendly disposal of contamination. Another key feature of the VisionXP is the effective bottom cooling, allowing even more homogenous cool-down, making it a practical solution for especially thick PCBs and work piece carriers. The cooling gradient is extremely flexible and can be adjusted easily providing stress free cooling for sensitive components. Being able to change from a high to a lower temperature profile quickly and easily means that switching from lead-free to leaded solder is also no problem. An added bonus is that customers can use the SSP (Speed Switch Process), which can significantly shorten cooling time and reduce waiting time by 50% without influencing nitrogen level. Rehm's VisionXP system also offers two new features to allow manufacturers to ascertain the actual consumption values of nitrogen and electrical power. Customers can find out these values at any time by simply pressing a button, giving them the actual momentary consumption as well as the average consumption for a selected period of time up to 24 hours.

The VisionXS Convection Soldering System will also be on display at the show, which has been designed with lowest cost of ownership in mind. EMS customers worldwide have been impressed with this system and have confirmed the successful application of the VisionXS in production. The simplified layout of the VisionXS provides outstanding accessibility as well as reliable processes for customers. Advantages of the VisionXS are low consumption values, a newly integrated residue management system, a reliable conveyor as well as outstanding process stability. Attendees will also have the chance to see Rehm's RDS Drying System, which provides technically flexible and economically interesting solutions. combining advanced process features with enhanced thermal control, these pioneering systems will help customers to improve levels of efficiency and yield.

Whilst on the Rehm booth visitors can learn more about the Condenso Vacuum Condensation Soldering System, a state-of-the-art condensation reflow soldering solution. This technology addresses the complex demands of lead-free soldering and will solder your most difficult PCBs quickly, void free and reliably for maximum return on investment. With Rehm's CondesoX series soldering systems, you can adapt vapor phase soldering to your manufacturing conditions by means of flexible handling variants, and integrate it into existing SMD lines as well. To learn even more about void free soldering Dr. Wohlrabe, TU Dresden, will be presenting the results of the "Arbeitskreis Poren" (Research Group Voiding), which are resumed in a user friendly software. This expert data base contains the main effects and interdependencies of the parameters of voiding, allowing visitors the chance to get to grips with void free soldering and see how it could ultimately benefit productivity and efficiency for their organisation. SMT/Hybrid/Packaging 2011 allows visitors a great opportunity to take advantage of seeing all of Rehm's thermal solutions in one place and gain advice from their experts on how these products could specifically benefit their company.
