Press release date: August 12, 2011
Rehm Thermal Systems has confirmed plans to releases its highly anticipated VisionXC convection soldering system on stand 1H38 at this year's Nepcon Shenzhen exhibition. Taking place on August 30th in China's Shenzhen International Convention & Exhibition Center, the event will see Rehm unveil its brand new system, exclusively manufacturer in, and developed for, the Chinese marketplace.
Extending the thermal systems specialist's commitment to this region, the launch of the VisionXC accompanies an expanded service presence and technology support in China. Designed to be configured to individual manufacturing challenges, the new machine is tailored to specific local market requirements such as those characterised by mobile device manufacturing. Nepcon Shenzhen visitors will be among the first in the world to witness the new convection soldering system's capabilities which include extremely high throughput rates for high volume production environments. Optional dual lane processing and a pioneering transport system make the VisionXC one of the fastest machines on the market, ideal for manufacturing centres requiring the highest throughput without compromising quality.
Commenting on the launch of the VisionXC soldering system at this year's Nepcon Shenzhen exhibition, Rehm Asia General Manager Johnson Ma, explains: "The launch of our brand new VisionXC convection soldering technology marks an important development for our company and its customers in China. Increasingly, we have been developing our presence here and the decision to manufacture the VXC exclusively in China is indicative of our commitment to the region. Not only does it place us closer to customers in order to improve lead times and our overall service offering, but it delivers Chinese customers a significant competitive advantage."
The VisionXC can be equipped with two conveyor lanes which manufacturers can choose to operate asynchronously at different speeds. In addition to presenting a high-speed option, the system also allows operators to use the two lanes asymmetrically with different lane widths. Dual conveyors can be loaded with diverse PCBs printed with different solder pastes, while a flexible heating system allows the operator to select ideal reflow profiles for the separate products. Rehm's Johnson Ma concludes: "The development represents an industry first; not only is the VisionXC an extremely high throughput platform, but it's also available at a very competitive price point - all without compromising the high levels of reliability and quality that the market associates with Rehm Thermal Systems. I'm looking forward to demonstrating these extraordinary capabilities at Nepcon Shenzhen!"
