Expanded family of 802.16e-2005 products provide the most cost-effective and versatile solutions to meet the diverse requirements of global Mobile WiMAX networks -

TORONTO, Feb. 12 -- Redline Communications Group Inc. (TSX and AIM: RDL), a leading provider of standards-based fixed and mobile WiMAX access and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today introduced its full suite of RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX products. Redline's expanded family of 802.16e-2005 base stations units and subscriber devices for the 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz bands allows operators to select and deploy network elements that meet their specific network and business requirements.

The expanded RedMAX 4C family includes Redline's 802.16e-2005-based chassis base station, which incorporates Redline's 2 x 2 MIMO antenna technology and delivers equal performance to competitive 4 x 2 systems, providing greater coverage and a lower absolute cost to operators. The chassis base station has been featured in customer trials and major events since May, 2007 and is being submitted for WiMAX Forum® Certification. The RedMAX 4C family also includes Redline's new outdoor three-sector micro and single-sector pico and macro base stations. In addition, Redline will reveal its indoor pico base station which enables operators to reach more subscribers in diverse scenarios.

"Redline is a leader in WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) product deployments. We have drawn on our vast experience with and understanding of designing carrier networks to develop a full suite of Mobile WiMAX products that provide the flexibility and return on investment that carriers want," said Kevin Suitor, Vice President, Business Development and Marketing, Redline Communications Inc. "Redline has helped carriers to accelerate their adoption of WiMAX technologies with our proven RedPATH architecture roadmap for fixed and nomadic networks. Our new RedMAX 4C product strategy enables carriers to establish WiMAX networks that can expand over time, while generating the revenue they need to support their growth."

Redline's RedMAX 4C Mobile WiMAX base station roadmap gives operators cost-effective options to build out their network. Operators can begin by building a WiMAX network for initial coverage, optimize networks to support subscriber demand, expand to additional regions, and easily fill in any coverage and capacity gaps to maximize their return on investment. Redline's expanded 802.16e-2005 offerings also includes a selection of subscriber devices designed to support the delivery of broadband wireless services for business, residential, or personal use.

"Redline has demonstrated its commitment to delivering open and interoperable WiMAX networks. Our focus on achieving WiMAX Forum Certification(TM) and the introduction of our REV program, which augments the WiMAX Forum's certification programs, has ensured our customers can incorporate the most advanced products and applications available today," added Suitor.

As part of its REV Program, Redline has conducted private interoperability testing (IOT) with products from equipment manufacturers and applications providers. The REV program will also ensure interoperability with ASNgw and ASN controllers from a number of vendors, ensuring true open mobile WiMAX networks.

Redline's WiMAX Solutions Redline's RedMAX(TM) family of WiMAX solutions includes the world's first complete system to receive the WiMAX Forum Certified(TM) mark for conformance to the WiMAX standards for performance and interoperability. The system includes the RedMAX(TM) Base Station (AN-100U) and RedMAX(TM) Indoor Subscriber Unit (SU-I) and Outdoor Subscriber Unit (SU-O). Redline also offers the Redline Management Suite, which enables operators to monitor and control the WiMAX network.

Redline also offers its RedMAX 4C(TM) family of Mobile WiMAX products, which are Federal Communications Commission based on the IEEE 802.16e-2005 standards for mobile WiMAX. The RedMAX 4C supports a wide range of high-speed fixed, portable and mobile wireless services. The RedMAX 4C(TM) Mobile WiMAX platform is designed to enable operators to maximize the reach and customer density required for a profitable carrier business model. The RedMAX 4C(TM) includes a modular, standardized (micro)TCA (micro Telecommunications Computing Architecture) chassis base station that is small, lightweight and easy to deploy. RedMAX 4C(TM) will also include a suite of indoor and utdoor fixed and portable end-user devices including laptops, mobile handsets and PDAs. The RedMAX 4C(TM) is designed to facilitate the integration of existing RedMAX(TM) products with RedMAX 4C(TM) technologies, providing operators a path to true mobility.
