Redline Launches Broadband Wireless Infrastructure Business Unit

New Business Unit to support growth of global sales channels for wireless backhaul and access products; RedACCESS suite of multipoint systems to address rapidly growing demand in key markets

TORONTO, Feb. 5 / -- Redline Communications Group Inc., (TSX and AIM: RDL) a leading provider of standards-based WiMAX and broadband wireless infrastructure products, today announced the launch of its Broadband Wireless Infrastructure (BWI) business unit to support the growth of Redline's global sales channels for its wireless backhaul and access products. Concurrent with the launch of the new business unit, Redline has introduced the RedACCESS(TM) brand of point-to-multipoint products which complements its popular RedCONNEX(TM) family of backhaul solutions.

"The introduction of the BWI business unit reflects Redline's continued focus on delivering a full suite of broadband wireless network solutions to meet the needs of the growing communications market," said Majed Sifri, Chief Executive Officer, Redline Communications. "With an increased focus on building our global sales channels for the RedACCESS and RedCONNEX products, we believe the BWI business unit will represent a significant portion of our revenues in 2008 and beyond."

The BWI business unit will operate under the direction of Elik Jaeger, Redline's recently appointed Vice President, Broadband Wireless Infrastructure. Mr. Jaeger joined Redline in late 2007 with more than 15 years' experience developing and bringing products to market for major broadband wireless equipment manufacturers, including Alvarion and Motorola. Jaeger's international experience includes several years managing a multi-site operation in Bucharest developing WiMAX products, network management systems and other broadband wireless offerings.

Redline's RedACCESS and RedCONNEX products have been deployed by companies from a number of industry sectors including utility, oil and gas, healthcare, emergency services, enterprise users, and others in more than 80 countries. Each of Redline's BWI products delivers reliable and robust connections of up to 90 Mbps over distances of more than 80 km (50 miles). Both the RedACCESS and RedCONNEX families include solutions for the license exempt 5.4GHz and 5.8GHz spectrum, with products for additional bands planned for launch during the first quarter of 2008.

"With the proven performance of the RedCONNEX and RedACCESS products, and its recognized WiMAX leadership, Redline has established a solid reputation for delivering industry-leading broadband wireless solutions," said Elik Jaeger. "With our increased focus on growing our BWI product family and expanding our sales capabilities for these products, I believe Redline will be well positioned to significantly grow this product category, especially in the rapidly growing oil and gas, utility, and other key market sectors. I am pleased to have joined Redline at this exciting time in its development."
