International Crystal Laboratories has been advised by the U.S. Patent Office that the patent on ICL's Real Crystal® IR sample cards has been allowed (US Patent No. 7,932,095). Real Crystal® IR sample cards are inexpensive and disposable sample substrates useful for qualitative FTIR transmission sampling of liquid samples and mulls. Real Crystal® IR cards do not exhibit the strong absorbance peaks found in PTFE and polyethylene sample substrates used in other IR sample cards and transmit up to 80% of the available energy from the spectrophotometer.
