Press release date: October 5, 2010

Atlanta, GA - Quickparts (http://www.quickparts.com), one of North America's largest providers of custom designed parts, ranging from rapid prototyping to plastic injection molding, has recently added new capabilities which allow for the CNC Machining of much larger part designs.

Quickparts now has the ability to CNC mill designs up to 157" X 78" on the X and Y axis, with a Z height up to 59". The capabilities for turned parts requiring a CNC lathe are equally impressive, where Quickparts can accommodate part designs up to 30" in diameter and 107" in length. The customer still has the flexibility to select from virtually any commercially available material available to be machined.

A service like this provides a much needed option for designers looking to prototype much larger designs, who have found traditional prototyping methods to be cost prohibitive for such big parts.

"Quickparts is really excited about being able to confidently sell and deliver CNC machined parts this large to our customer base," said Patrick Hunter, VP of Sales and Marketing for Quickparts. "When designers are faced with manufacturing parts that are 6 or 8 feet long for example, their options become limited very quickly. We are proud to be able to serve this niche market for our customers."
