One of the nation's largest and most respected radiology groups partners with AMICAS to revolutionize radiology IT solutions
BOSTON, Oct. 26 - AMICAS, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMCS), a leader in radiology and medical image and information management solutions, today announced that it has signed a new enterprise agreement with Radiology Ltd. of Tucson, AZ.

Radiology Ltd. is a private practice consisting of 45 plus radiologists operating 10 private imaging centers and providing coverage for 3 hospitals in the greater Tucson area. Radiology Ltd. has been an AMICAS PACS customer for several years.

Under the terms of the agreement, Radiology Ltd. will complement their existing PACS system with the entire suite of AMICAS radiology automation products, including systems to support scheduling, report production, document management, and comprehensive revenue cycle management.
Also, Radiology Ltd. will complement their existing Vision Series(TM) PACS deployment with both Vision Reach(TM) and RadStream(TM). Vision Reach is an innovative zero client results distribution tool and portal designed specifically for referring physicians. RadStream makes possible the automation and documentation of critical results communication and the prioritization of imaging exams based on a "most likely to interrupt" method.
Under the terms of the agreement, Radiology Ltd. will replace their legacy RIS and billing solutions with the Vision Series RIS and Vision Series Financials platforms, respectively. These solutions leverage modern technology to automate the complex scheduling and revenue cycle management needs of radiology practices.
Radiology Ltd. will round out their AMICAS solution suite with Insight Dashboards(TM). A Web-based business intelligence platform, Insight Dashboards provides access to customized, easy-to-read graphical data for key performance metrics and indicators. Insight Dashboards provides the ability to evaluate clinical factors such as technologist productivity, as well as operational factors including asset efficiency or accounts receivable aging.
