Press release date: May 4, 2009

RALEIGH, NC (May 4, 2009) - Stackpole Electronics, Inc. announced the release of the new RMCP Series of thick film chips designed for low-cost, high-power requirements. The RMCP Series is a more robust version of the standard RMC general purpose chip resistor. As such, it avoids using costly materials, design, or processes. This makes the RMCP an ideal solution for a broad range of applications and end products requiring a higher power rating in a limited amount of board space.

The RMCP Series is an outstanding choice for all types of power systems, controls, and industrial and commercial automation, and various types of low torque motor controls. It will also be useful for UPS devices and equipment and backup power systems, audio applications, high speed communication, thermostats and HVAC, metering, monitoring, and detection, as well as for avionics and instrumentation.

The RMCP Series is available on standard 7 inch reels. Pricing varies with chip size, tolerance, and resistance value and ranges from around $0.005 each to $0.15 each in full reel quantities; contact Stackpole for volume pricing.
