Matt Groleau, President of RJG, put ink to the final paperwork in the creation of RJG France. This new regional office will be located in the Maison des Entreprises building at 180 rue Pierre & Marie Curie, 01100 Bellignat, Oyonnax, France, about 40 minutes East of Lyon. This area, known as The Plastics Valley, has a high concentration of plastics tooling, manufacturing, auxiliaries, and technology research and development firms. RJG chose this location for it's accessibility to the French injection molding community.
It was essential to set up a well staffed regional office to provide direct sales of RJG's eDART(TM) and cavity pressure technology systems, with local product inventory to quickly respond to customers needs. More importantly, a regional office provides local support of RJG products for implementation and service. The office will be staffed with local personnel that RJG has worked closely with over the past 24 months. The staff has numerous years of technical expertise in injection molding processing, process monitoring and control systems and cavity pressure technology. RJG's intent is to replicate the successful business model they developed in the US. RJG's market development efforts in France began shortly after the K Show in 2004, where contacts were made and information exchanged that started RJG down the road to opening RJG France.
Denis Fecci has been hired as the Technical Sales Manager. Denis holds a BAC in Mathematics and Physics and a BTS in Plastics and Composites. He has worked in the plastics industry for over fourteen years as a Technician, Project Manager and Trainer. Denis is currently going through the RJG Master Molder certification program. Once he completes this program he will continue on with the RJG Train the Trainer certification that will allow him to obtain his Instructor certification. Once Denis completes the Train the Trainer program, he can begin conducting RJG training courses in France. This will also allow RJG to take advantage of Denis's bilingual capability. The anticipated timeframe for training to begin in France is the first quarter of 2008.
RJG recently exhibited at the Go Plast show in France and the show was a big success! RJG received tremendous positive response from both current and prospective customers about having a local presence, including technical personnel in close proximity.
